Ayla Katz

Meet Ayla Katz, a rising singer-songwriter from Maplewood, New Jersey. She's a high school student with a deep love for storytelling through music, bringing expressive vocals and keyboard playing to original songs and inspired covers. You can catch her playing gigs around town.

She covers artists including:

Linda Ronstadt, The Beatles, Elton John, Fiona Apple, Amy Winehouse, ​Radiohead, Lana Del Rey, Weyes Blood, and much more!

She also teams with her friend Izzy as a keyboard/guitar and vocals duo.

 Ayla performs in 2 (sometimes 3!) bands.  She has performed at venues including Maplewoodstock, Village Hall, Avenue Pub, Maplewood Village, Springfield Market, Spiotta Park in South Orange, Crossroads, and Porchfest Maplewood. Separately, with other students from Mark Murphy's Music Program, she has performed at the annual Under Cover Music Festival in 2023 and 2025 performing the songs of The Pretenders and the Beatles, respectively.
